The Sheridan Lake Fishing Pier located off U.S. Highway 385 will be closed Monday, Dec. 2 through Friday, Dec. 6, while tree removal operations take place across the road.
Use of the pier during tree removal is hazardous due to falling rocks and trees.
The tree clearing is a preliminary effort of phase two of the multi-year construction project on Highway 385.
Weather dependent, Phase 2 construction is scheduled to begin in late 2024 or early 2025. The contractor will be operating a flagger and pilot car for motorists on Highway 385.
